In The Healing Temple Of The Sun

Let us become aware of our breathing. As we deeply and slowly breathe into our abdomen, we grow ever more peaceful. Whilst paying attention to our breathing, it becomes slower and deeper and we grow still in mind and body.

We are standing on the shores of a lake; the water is perfectly still. The reflection of the light makes it look like mother-of-pearl, soft colours gently moving and mingling, in ever-changing hues. We become aware that we are not alone, that an Angel stands at out side and tells us to slowly and deeply breathe the breath of God through our hearts. As we do so, white wings of peace lovingly wrap themselves around us and we become aware of pools that contain water in different colours. Our Angel explains that they are pools of healing and that all colours have different healing qualities.

For example, green is for cleansing; a gentle blue for peace and relaxation; golden yellow for hope and vitality; and amethyst for unfolding heavenly consciousness. The Angels know which pool every soul is in need of. They gently takes each one of us by the hand and walk with us into one of the pools. The water is refreshing and deeply cleansing. Floating on top of it, we notice how easily it carries us. Every movement we make is peaceful and effortless. It makes us feel loved and protected by the ever-lasting arms of our Divine Father/Mother.

In the East the rosy light of dawn is rising and above the horizon stands a brightly shining Star, Venus, the Morning Star. A new day is dawning, all is still, and our hearts and minds are opening to its beauty. The Sun rises and its light and that of the Morning Star gloriously unite and casts a path of golden healing light across the water. Narrow only at first, it gradually gets wider until it has become a golden highway. The Angel raises us out of the water, takes us by the hand and together we are walking along the highway, straight into the heart of the Sun. The Sun draws us ever closer across the waters of the lake that shimmer below and our hearts joyously respond to its pull.

As we come closer to the Sun, a circular temple comes into view. It looks as if it was built of the finest alabaster, transparent and filled with light. Tall pillars rise heavenwards. Up seven steps our Angel guides us, towards a golden arch at the entrance of the temple; in front of its huge pillars we feel tiny. It is hard to tell whether they are made of stone or whether they are the Archangels themselves. Our Angel tells us that this is the Universal Temple of the Sun. As we enter, we become aware of the unity of all life, of God’s Divine love that flows through and holds the very atoms of all life in the Universe together with the power of its will. We feel our oneness with this love and how too are a part of the Cosmic Order.

As we are drawn deeper into the centre of the temple, we gaze towards its domed roof and feel the blazing light and the warmth of a huge Star that shines down on a large gathering of angelic and human healers and servers, who are all wearing white robes. Silently, we are waiting for the arrival of the Great Healer. The light of the Star grows brighter and more intense, and we sense that the presence of the Lord most high, the Universal Christ, is approaching. A ray of light shines from the Star into every heart. We raise our faces towards it and feel our hearts overflowing with love and worship for our Creator.

The Universal Christ is the great healer of all life. He emerges from the light of the Star and slowly takes on the human form described to us in the legend of the beloved Master Jesus, the vehicle through which the Christ Spirit spoke to us and our world. At first, it seems that the Sun is shining through him. But no, he himself is the Sun and the light of all life, the Sun behind our physical Sun on Earth! His whole is aglow with golden healing light and we realise that he is the light.

There is a white couch in the middle of the temple. Angels place one sleeping patient after another on it and each one is blessed by the Great Healer. We find ourselves among the healers and helpers and notice that we have become part of the brotherhood of the Temple. The whole group acts as one and love and light are flowing from every heart. Together with the Christ we all focus on the new patients that are constantly arriving; we are channelling the healing energies of the Christ and blessing them. While we are doing this, we sense how something inside us is healing too and that the whole of Creation is healing with us. Here in the heart of the Eternal Sun Temple, outside earthly space and time all is one and we realise the meaning of ‘All for one, and one for all’.

The patients are asleep and after each one has received healing, the Angels take them for further rest to small individual sanctuaries. There are countless numbers of them dotted around the beautiful garden in which the temple is set; each cubicle is glowing in soft clear healing colours. When the patients are sufficiently rested, our Angel explains, they are returned to their earthly consciousness. The Angel also tells us that the Angels of Death bring souls, whose time to leave the earthly life has come, are also brought here.

After the sleeping souls have been in the presence of the Great Healer, they are taken to one of the sanctuaries. Here they rest, until they are ready to wake up into their new life. On opening their eyes, they find themselves in the sunlit temple garden, which is just like a garden on the Earth plane but much more beautiful. Filled with this wondrous sight, the souls who have been newly born to the world of spirit, take their first steps outside where family and friends, who have gone before, are waiting in the sunshine.

Through the visit in the temple there grows in our hearts an increasing awareness of the Great Cosmic Plan that guides every life, in the physical as well as the infinite and eternal world of spirit. All is known and taken care of by the great love, wisdom and power of the Great White Spirit. Our hearts respond to this knowledge with a joyous flow of feelings of worship and love for our Creator. Our healing session is drawing to a close. But listen! Where is that sound coming from? The Angels are singing! Gently, softly and a mere whisper at first but gradually it swells into a melody. Voices join harmoniously and we too add ours and sing: ‘He is Lord, he is Lord; he is risen from the dead and he is Lord; every knee does bow and every tongue confesses that the Universal Christ is our true Lord and Master.’ This is followed by a song of thanksgiving, in praise and worship of our Creator, which slowly rises into an almighty crescendo.

Eventually the sound subsides and with a tinge of sadness in our hearts we realise that the time for returning to our earthly duties has come. Taking another moment to wander through the infinite and eternal garden, we enjoy the beauty of the flowers and trees, the song of the birds, and the love and the warmth of the Sun. Our Angel tells us that this place is known as the garden of reunion, and that all souls come here for replenishment and refreshment in their dream state.

We give thanks to our Angel for all we have seen and received and say goodbye.  Breathing deeply helps us to fully return into earthly consciousness and we use our earthly mind to become fully aware of our physical body again. We feel our feet, move our toes, stretch our arms, open our eyes and pay attention to our environment again. Prior to venturing out into the world, we protect ourselves by closing our energy centres, the chakras, and by sealing our brow, throat, and heart chakras with a cross of light within a circle of light.
