I Want To Know What Love Is
Now that I am getting older
I am taking lots of time
For thinking things over,
For learning to read between the lines,
To find a new understanding of my existence.
The spiritual mountain we all have to climb
To lift the weight of our world off our shoulders.
Through the clouds God’s love shines
And keeps us warm as Earth life grows colder.
In my life there’s been heartache and pain.
To ensure it can’t happen again,
I’m travelling however far is necessary
To change the spiritual loneliness of my life
I have endured for far too long.
O Great White Spirit, Father/Mother of all life,
I want to know what love is.
I want You to show me.
I want to feel what love is
And You alone can show me.
I’m going to take some time
For looking around me.
No longer any need to hide
Because true love has finally found me.
I want to know what love really is.
Not a soppy emotion but
Human kindness and friendliness,
Tolerance and compassion
Towards every lifeform that shares our world.
I want You to show me
Love of the Highest kind
That is forever true and
In all Eternity will be with me.
A love that understands all
And because of this forgives all.
Love that has the power to make
Crooked corners straight
And heal every condition of
Humankind’s mind and body,
Spirit and soul.
The love that makes us whole.
After millennia of patriarchy,
Warmongering and misery,
May all human hearts and souls unfold
With the love You and the Angels are showing us
Through the Jesus legend.
Teach ever one of us to love this way
To bring healing and peace to us and our world
And everything that shares it with us.
